The game was close throughout with multiple lead changes. Dennis Strudel had a clutch steal and layup late to give the Lakers the lead. However, Kuzma was then able to hit a game winning three pointer at the buzzer to allow the Lakers to survive against a tough opponent. It was a back and forth contest that came down to the final possession.
Butler took over the game for the Bulls, scoring 40 points including the go-ahead basket on a three point play late. He showed his veteran experience in crunch time to will his team to victory. The Bulls were able to break the franchise record of consecutive wins thanks to Butler's stellar performance.
Zion Williamson once again dazzled with his athleticism and scoring ability, totaling 13 straight points for his team down the stretch. He took over the game and proved he is a true superstar in the making. Both his defense with a steal and offense with buckets allowed his team to come back and take the lead. It was an incredible individual performance that was the difference in the game.
