It was a back and forth contest that came down to the final possession.

Butler took over the game for the Bulls, scoring 40 points including the go-ahead basket on a three point play late. He showed his veteran experience in crunch time to will his team to victory. The Bulls were able to break the franchise record of consecutive wins thanks to Butler's stellar performance.

Zion Williamson once again dazzled with his athleticism and scoring ability, totaling 13 straight points for his team down the stretch. He took over the game and proved he is a true superstar in the making. Both his defense with a steal and offense with buckets allowed his team to come back and take the lead. It was an incredible individual performance that was the difference in the game.

In the first quarter, the Warriors got off to a strong start led by Steph Curry and Andrew Wiggins. They built a lead as large as 13 points thanks to solid defense and limiting turnovers. However, the Lakers fought their way back into the game cutting the lead to just 4 points at the end of the quarter thanks to strong play from Alex Caruso and improved defense.

In the second quarter, the Warriors were able to maintain their lead for much of the period behind more good shooting from Curry and solid defense. However, the Lakers finished the half strong to cut the lead to just 3 points at halftime. LeBron James and Anthony Davis struggled offensively in the first half but the Lakers were able to stay in the game thanks to Caruso's 12 first half points.

In the third quarter, the Lakers came out with improved energy and defense. They were able to force multiple Warrior turnovers and take their first lead of the game. Anthony Davis began to find his rhythm on offense and the Lakers took advantage of small ball lineups from the Warriors to build their lead to as much as 7 points. However, Steph Curry hit some big third quarter shots to keep the Warriors in the game.

In the fourth quarter, the game remained close with multiple lead changes. Steph Curry continued his big night with over 30 points but LeBron James and Anthony Davis took over down the stretch. James hit a clutch three with under a minute left to put the Lakers up 3 before Curry tied it up. However, the Lakers were able to hold on for the victory thanks to strong defense on Curry in the final possession.
